Damon Brooks Associates has a
25-year history of building
successful business
relationships. In 1985, DBA
founder and owner Marc Goldman,
began his successful career of
matching Hollywood and sports
celebrities with non-profit
organizations. It was at a
Hollywood fundraiser that a
well-known personality brought
an unknown comedian to Marc’s
attention. He had the audience
rolling in the aisles and yet
had a powerful message. Within
moments, his wheelchair seemed
to disappear.
Many people who use wheelchairs
or have other disabilities have
come to our attention since then
and we are extremely pleased and
honored to have become such a
highly-recognized international
resource. Our network seems now
to have come full circle, with
new members of the Hollywood
community seeking us out. Many
may have a disability, but
others just want to be a part of
our successful program.

Every organization has a
unique method of raising public
awareness of people with
disabilities and engaging their
audience through their diversity
programming:
- Human
Resources Seminars
- Conventions and Meeting
Programs with Featured
Entertainment
- Disability Awareness and
Diversity Training
- Advertising and Public
Relations Campaigns
- Campus Disability Awareness
Celebrations
- Outreach to Veterans and
Veterans groups as they
re-enter civilian life
With his
firm recognized internationally
as a very special resource to
the disability communities, Marc
has received appointments to the
California Governor’s
Committee on Employment of
People With Disabilities,
Co-Chairmanship of the Media
Access Committee and as a
regional representative to the
City College of Los Angeles’
Disability Advisory Committee.
Damon Brooks Associates has
also been repeatedly recognized
in national publications such as
The Los Angeles Times,
Ability Magazine, Meetings and Conventions,
Successful Meetings,
Association Management,
Exhibitor Times.
Marc and DBA have been applauded
for their ability to work with
events of all sizes. Groups
with as few as twenty-five
people to large group audiences
with as many as six thousand in
attendance all receive special,
individualized attention to
craft the program that suits
their needs.
Of course, organizational
budgets vary greatly and DBA can
be flexible concerning the
presenter’s schedule and travel
needs. Although some speakers
or performers have been able to
accept engagements in the
neighborhood of $1,000, most of
our clients average between
$2,500 and $5,000 per
performance. Celebrity speakers
can have a higher fee, and
travel expenses are always
additional.
