A former contributor to the New York Daily News and TravelPulse.com, he’s guided by a core belief that accessibility isn’t a checklist of minimum requirements, rather a commitment to ensuring every person can participate fully in the experiences that make life meaningful

Speaker Topics

“Disability” within Diversity & Inclusion (Keynote)

Brett reframes disability as a core pillar of an inclusive culture, not a footnote. He blends candid lived experience with executive-level communications expertise to help leaders replace performative gestures with durable practice. He stresses language, policy, and everyday behaviors that signal belonging, then demonstrates how inclusive choices compound into trust, innovation, and market reach. The talk is frank, optimistic, and relentlessly practical: audiences leave with a shared vocabulary, a decision framework, and the confidence to change the room—not just the slide deck

Key Takeaways:

  1. Integrate disability into diversity and inclusion goals with clear ownership and measures
  2. Swap vague intent for concrete behaviors that scale across teams.
  3. Build credibility fast: language, policy, and rituals that create genuine belonging

Why should you hire Brett?

Because no one bridges humanity and business outcomes quite like he does. Brett combines the lived understanding of disability with two decades of senior-level communications experience—transforming inclusion from concept to culture. He’s been in the boardroom, onstage, and in the trenches, making him uniquely equipped to guide both executives and employees toward meaningful change. When Brett speaks, audiences don’t just nod—they act.

ADA Compliance vs. True Accessibility (Keynote)

Brett draws a bright line between passing audits and welcoming people. He illustrates how organizations mistake legal minimums for customer experience, then shows how to move beyond checklists to journeys that actually work. With stories, failure points, and “before/after” redesigns, he proves that accessibility is an engine for product quality, talent retention, and risk reduction. He offers a diagnostic teams can apply immediately and a sequencing plan to prioritize fixes with outsized impact. The effect is liberating leaders finally see accessibility as an advantage—not a burden.

Key Takeaways:

  1. Compliance is table stakes; experience is the goal.
  2. A simple diagnostic to find and fix the highest-impact barriers first.
  3. How to embed accessibility into design, operations, and metrics so it endures.

Why should you hire Brett?

Because Brett has lived the difference between policy and practice—and can articulate it better than anyone in the room. He’s advised Fortune 500 companies, state agencies, and hospitality brands on how to make accessibility strategic rather than symbolic. His rare combination of credibility and charisma transforms compliance into momentum. Hire Brett, and your team won’t just understand accessibility—they’ll own it.

The Economic Power of Disability (Keynote)

Brett makes the commercial case with clarity and force. He quantifies the spending power of people with disabilities and their households, then connects it to loyalty, word-of-mouth, and brand resilience. He dissects common misses (messaging, product fit, service friction) and demonstrates how modest changes unlock disproportionate returns. Drawing on travel and hospitality examples, he shows how accessibility improves outcomes for all customers—shorter cycles, fewer escalations, higher NPS. This is a board-ready argument backed by practice: accessibility as strategy, growth, and reputation insurance.

Key Takeaways:

  1. The market is large, influential, and chronically underserved.
  2. Accessibility improvements raise conversion and retention across segments.
  3. A revenue-first roadmap: where to invest, how to measure, when to scale.

Why should you hire Brett?

Because Brett speaks the language of business and the heart of advocacy. He’s built, led, and advised organizations where accessibility drives ROI—not expense. His approach converts empathy into economics, equipping executives with data, case studies, and urgency. Brett doesn’t inspire with theory; he motivates through proof. If you want your audience to see accessibility as both moral and profitable, he’s your speaker.

Guest Interaction Training (Workshop)

Brett’s workshop turns good intentions into muscle memory for frontline teams. He demonstrates language that de-escalates, questions that clarify needs without prying, and service moves that preserve dignity and speed. Participants practice realistic scenarios, receive precise feedback, and leave with pocket-ready prompts and checklists. Managers get coaching tools and scorecards to sustain progress. The training is humane, specific, and brand-safe—the fastest route to fewer complaints, better reviews, and guests who feel seen.

Key Takeaways:

  1. Practical scripts and etiquette that build confidence and trust.
  2. Scenario playbooks for common, high-stakes moments—from check-in to incident response.
  3. Manager tools to reinforce behaviors and track improvements over time.

Why should you hire Brett?

Because Brett understands that hospitality is not a department—it’s a mindset. His real-world guidance transforms service culture overnight, helping staff deliver excellence under pressure while treating every guest with dignity. Few trainers can make accessibility feel both approachable and aspirational; Brett does. He brings empathy, authority, and results that show up instantly in guest feedback and team morale.

Know Your Property (Workshop)

Brett leads a guided, guest-eye walkthrough to expose friction points and easy wins across entries, pathways, rooms, signage, and service moments. He prioritizes fixes by impact and cost, then translates them into an action plan facilities, ops, and guest services can own together. The session surfaces “silent failures” (lighting, reach ranges, wayfinding, housekeeping routines) and replaces them with clear standards and quick upgrades. Results are immediate and measurable: fewer workarounds, smoother flows, and a space that signals welcome before anyone says a word.

Key Takeaways:

  1. A ranked list of low-cost, high-impact improvements you can execute now.
  2. Cross-team ownership: who does what, by when, and how it’s checked.
  3. A simple measurement cadence to sustain gains and prove value.

Why should you hire Brett?

Because Brett has the eye of a guest and the insight of an operator. He turns walk-throughs into revelations, exposing what others miss and empowering teams to fix it fast. He’s helped hotels, airports, and public venues elevate accessibility without breaking budgets—proving that thoughtful design is good business. With Brett, every inch of your property becomes an opportunity to impress.

From Adversity to Agency: Building brettapproved and Reimagining Possibility (Keynote)

In this keynote, Brett shares a deeply personal and energizing account of turning challenge into purpose— from navigating life and career with a disability to excelling in corporate America and ultimately founding brettapproved, Inc., the world’s first disability-focused travel company. With candor and wit, he recounts raising $1.1 million in investment to launch a platform that redefined accessible travel and empowered thousands of people with disabilities to see the world on their terms. But the story doesn’t end there.

Brett reflects on the heartbreak of closing brettapproved during the COVID19 pandemic—an unprecedented global crisis that decimated the travel industry for nearly five years. Rather than letting that loss define him, he transformed it into his greatest lesson in perseverance, adaptability, and leadership under uncertainty.

Today, Brett shares how to navigate disappointment with grace, extract growth from failure, and find renewed purpose when the path forward disappears overnight. His message is raw, redemptive, and profoundly motivating—a masterclass in resilience, reinvention, and the enduring value of optimism.

Key Takeaways:

  1. How to transform personal adversity and professional setbacks into fuel for innovation and impact.
  2. Lessons from scaling and eventually closing brettapproved: storytelling, investor stewardship, and strategic reinvention.
  3. Why perseverance, adaptability, and purpose-driven leadership are the ultimate differentiators in business
    and life.

Why should you hire Brett?

Because Brett embodies what real resilience looks like. He built a first-of-its-kind company that challenged an entire industry, faced unimaginable disruption, and emerged stronger—wiser, clearer, and more determined to lead. His journey offers audiences a rare blend of vulnerability and vision: a founder who’s known both triumph and heartbreak, and who distills both into practical wisdom. When Brett speaks, audiences don’t just hear a story of success—they experience a masterclass in how to rise, rebuild, and redefine what’s possible.
